Drug Allergies Center

Drug allergies cause a person's immune system to mistakenly react to the presence of certain drugs in the body. In rare cases, drug allergies can be life-threatening. A penicillin allergy is one of the most common kinds of drug allergies, and occurs when the immune system has an allergic reaction to penicillin or a related form such as amoxicillin or ampicillin.
